Actor Chadwick Boseman died at the age of just 43 from complications from colon cancer. Relatives of the American confirmed a corresponding report from the AP news agency on social media. Boseman died in the presence of his wife and family at their home near Los Angeles.
The “Black Panther” star was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2016, according to a statement on Boseman’s Instagram profile. He has battled the disease for the past four years. “As a true fighter, Chadwick has stood the test of time and brought you many of the films you have loved so much.” Boseman had never spoken publicly about his illness.
In many productions in recent years, Boseman had already undergone countless operations and chemotherapies or had to endure them in the meantime, according to the statement. The greatest honor in his career was, however, imitating King T’Challa in “Black Panther.”
The action and science fiction film with Boseman in the title role, produced by Marvel Studios, opened in theaters in February 2018 and became a huge success around the world.
