The total number of known infections related to the private celebration is 36. The city announced in a statement Sunday night. The quarantine orders affected individual or multiple classes and grades, as well as school teachers. Containment measures had to be taken in ten schools. More than 1,200 people are in quarantine, the city said in response to a request from BILD, including 900 children and 200 teachers.
According to a spokeswoman, it was a private celebration in private premises. It took place last week. “The health department has started contact tracking and will be in contact with affected people throughout the weekend,” the city announced on Friday. Since follow-up is still ongoing, the number of people who tested positive could increase even more.
