Instead of the previous 11 pm to 6 am, only a maximum of five people or two households should be able to be outside all day. Masks should be worn in particularly crowded places. “Our basic principle is that when distance is not possible, the mask should be worn,” said Health Senator Dilek Kalayci (SPD).
It is unclear if the Senate will lift the curfew from 11 p.m., which the administrative court had tipped for eleven bars on Friday, and upheld the alcohol ban from 11 p.m. Ruling Mayor Michael Müller (SPD ) is skeptical, as the curfew is easier to control than alcohol prohibition.

Berlin’s administrative court had lifted the curfew for restaurateurs on Friday. Eleven innkeepers had complained. It can open longer again, but it cannot serve alcohol after 11 pm The Superior Administrative Court (OVG) had upheld the decision. Several restaurateurs have also filed a lawsuit against the prohibition of alcohol. It is not yet clear when the administrative court will decide on this.

Due to an error in the new rules for hospital visits, the health administration is improving. Senator Kalayci announced it in a letter.
