The cable fire on the S-Bahn is probably arson
S-Bahn passengers should be prepared for train cancellations and delays due to a cable fire Monday morning on the Ringbahn.

Sedan. Due to a cable fire in the Ostkreuz and Frankfurter Allee area, it reaches the S-Bahn lines on Monday S41, S42, S45, S46, S47, S8, S85, S9 delays and cancellations. The train service between Neukölln (via Ostkreuz) and Schönhauser Allee is interrupted. The company announced that passengers should use BVG’s means of transportation to avoid a large area.
LKA investigates after cable fire on S-Bahn
According to information from the Berliner Morgenpost, the cable fire was probably set. A cable duct between Frankfurter Allee and Storkower Strasse was on fire. The LKA is now conducting the investigation. Wanted in the immediate area for a possible confession letter. Officials from the Federal Police, the Berlin Police and the LKA have been at the scene since early in the morning.
Train operation at a glance:
- The S41 / S42 runs every 10 minutes between Schönhauser Allee (via Gesundbrunnen, Südkreuz) and Neukölln
- S45, S46, S47 run according to schedule
- S8 runs between Birkenwerder and Blankenburg
- S85 stays off
- The S9 departs from Schönefeld Airport <> Schöneweide and Ostbahnhof <> Spandau
Between Treptower Park and Neukölln, passengers should take the bus routes 104 or 166 Use the Rathaus Neukölln underground station (U7). In addition, the S-Bahn established a replacement bus service between Treptower Park and Schönhauser Allee.

- Schönhauser Allee: Wichertstrasse on Greifenhagener Strasse (no BVG stop)

- Frankfurter Allee: Möllendorfstrasse opposite Frankfurter Allee (no BVG stop)
- Ostkreuz: Hauptstraße (line 194)
- Treptower Park: Puschkinallee / Elsenstraße (line 194)

Line 24 RB (Eberswalde <-> Senftenberg) also operates:
- Via Gesundbrunnen in the direction of Senftenberg on the minutes: Gesundbrunnen from 50, Ostkreuz from 58, Schöneweide from 06,
- Via Gesundbrunnen in the direction of Eberswalde until minutes: Schöneweide from 50, Ostkreuz from 03, Gesundbrunnen from 13.
Loudspeaker announcements have failed at the Ostkreuz S-Bahn station on the ring platform. “Please pay attention to digital displays,” reported the S-Bahn.
