The Ministry of Social Affairs specified on Wednesday its plans for the corona vaccination strategy. Consequently, there should be many other “district vaccination centers” in Baden-Württemberg.
After the already well-known central vaccination centers in Freiburg, Offenburg, Karlsruhe, Heidelberg, two in Stuttgart, Rot am See, Tübingen and Ulm – which should be operational by mid-December – the ministry has now also determined the location of so-called district vaccination centers. “These should be ready to operate on January 15, 2021,” said State Health Minister Manfred Lucha (Greens) on an average.
“Our vaccination strategy is based on a stable foundation.”
According to the Ministry of Social Affairs, in addition to the central vaccination centers, one or two additional centers will be established in each city and district. In addition to stationary vaccination centers, there must also be mobile teams that vaccinate people in nursing homes, for example. Furthermore, the ministry is currently working on a concept of vaccination in clinics, which offers the possibility to vaccinate staff.
