According to its own information, technology company Bosch can now also deliver PCR test results for coronavirus in less than 30 minutes. More developed software for the Vivalytic analysis device allows a result in this short period of time in case of a positive corona test due to the high viral load, Bosch said in Stuttgart. If the test is negative, it takes 39 minutes to get a result.

Antigen tests are generally used as rapid tests, but are not considered as reliable as PCR tests for polymerase chain reactions. Rapid tests from Bosch are already available in 26 mainly European countries, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Great Britain. The further development took place with the help of funding from the Federal Research Ministry amounting to around € 5 million.

Meanwhile, the company wants to pay its employees in Germany a bonus for fiscal year 2020.
