Assault on a money transporter on the Kurfürstendamm on Friday morning!

► The attack took place on the corner of Bleibtreustraße. The money messenger was about to fill the machine at a Volksbank branch when a car stopped and several perpetrators ran towards the money messengers. According to the police, the perpetrators seized several boxes of cash.

The photos show that the money thieves wore orange suits, camouflaging themselves. Then, apparently, they put a white package in the trunk of the getaway car.

The police were alerted around 10 am Two security guards were injured, according to information from BZ, both are in the hospital, one may be seriously injured.

► Initially it was not clear if there were any shots. After that, the perpetrators were able to escape and are still on the run.

As the police confirmed to BZ, an abandoned Audi was found shortly thereafter on Urbanstrasse in Kreuzberg. The car must be the same type as the getaway vehicle.

Another Audi, this burned-out one, was found near the A100 motorway in Schöneberg. Researchers at the LKA are now checking for a connection.

In addition, witnesses who may have seen the attack are being interviewed. The crime scene is largely cordoned off.

► More recently, on December 15 and 17, there were attacks on money carriers or couriers at the Ikea furniture store in Berlin-Schöneberg and at the Park Center Treptow. In mid-January, a suspect in the Ikea attack was captured.
