After the murder of a professor in Paris, the French president speaks of an “Islamist terrorist attack”. In response to the crime, it appears that numerous Muslim extremists are now said to have left the country.

According to internal sources, France is preparing to expel 231 suspected extremists after the fatal attack on a teacher. Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin has called on local authorities to order the expulsions, police union circles said on Sunday.

Of the 231 people, 180 are in prison, 51 should be arrested in the next few hours. Initially, no confirmation was received from the Ministry of the Interior. Radio station Europe 1 had previously reported on the planned evictions.

An 18-year-old had beheaded history teacher Samuel Paty on the street with a knife on Friday night in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, a suburb of Paris. Soon after, police officers shot him. Paty had shown her students cartoons of Mohammed in citizenship class on free speech. Some Muslims regard any description of their prophet as blasphemy.

There were eleven arrests in the vicinity of the perpetrator on Sunday, including close relatives of the native Chechen. The father of one of Paty’s students who incited the teacher was also arrested.
