[ad_1]

AMD is distributing a new AMD Generic Encapsulated Software Architecture (AGESA) to motherboard manufacturers, on the basis of which new BIOS versions will appear in the coming weeks. AGESA 1.0.0.5 puts an end to the name chaos of versions 1.0.0.4, of which there were four patches: A, AB, ABB and ABBA.

The AMD reveals new AGESA 1.0.0.5 features via Reddit: Corresponding BIOS updates should optimize the “stability and interoperability” of PCI Express cards, improve the boot process with Micron DDR4-3200 RAM (Crucial) and issues connection with virtual memory and Realtek Ethernet. A problem with the PCIe configuration only affects the Ryzen 3 Pro 2100GE.

MSI is the first motherboard manufacturer to offer BIOS updates with AGESA 1.0.0.5 for its X570, X470, and B450 motherboards. According to the notes, the new versions also fix audio issues when using a Radeon RX 570 with HDMI. ASRock, Asus, Biostar and Gigabyte should follow soon.
