reThe number of new infections recorded by the coronavirus in Germany was more than 11,000 for the second day in a row. As the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) announced on Friday morning, citing information from the health authorities, the previous day 11,242 new cases of infection were registered. This was 45 less than on Wednesday, when the previous maximum value was determined for new daily infections recorded with the virus in Germany.
According to the RKI, the total number of infection cases recorded in Germany since the start of the pandemic rose to 403,291 on Thursday. The number of deaths associated with the new virus rose to 9,954-49 more than the previous day. The number of people recovered was reportedly around 306,100.
The RKI on Thursday classified the situation of the crown in Germany as “very serious”. The Institute’s president, Lothar Wieler, warned that there could be an uncontrollable outbreak in individual regions. However, there is a possibility of slowing the spread of the new virus, he added.
