After the end of PSG: is Tuchel’s new club already established?

For Thomas Tuchel it was time to say goodbye to Paris St-Germain at Christmas. The coach flew back to Munich, but was only able to rest briefly because now there are already the first rumors about his possible next job, reports the “Bild”.

The 47-year-old is said to have agreed with PSG a compensation of six million euros. For comparison: his annual salary in Paris was around 7.5 million euros. The termination of the contract means that Tuchel is free again for a new club.

Tuchel going to England?

One possibility could be Chelsea, who play Aston Villa on Monday. At the moment things are not going well at Chelsea and another loss after a 3-1 loss to Arsenal could put manager Frank Lampard in trouble.

According to the report, Tuchel is not opposed to the idea and has expressed interest in working with German national players Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Antonio Rüdiger.

Apparently Tuchel shouldn’t have planned a longer break and I want to move straight to a new club, this time maybe to England.

Mbappé, PSG star: “No one will forget their time here”

PSG’s top player, Kylian Mbappé, thanked his former coach for the cooperation shortly after Tuchel’s departure was known. “Unfortunately, that is the law of football, but nobody will forget your time here. You have written a good chapter in the history of the club and I would like to thank you, coach,” he wrote on Instagram.

It is still uncertain who will fill the void in Parisbut former Tottenham Hotspurs manager Mauricio Pochettino could be a candidate.

After leaving Borussia Dortmund in 2017, Tuchel moved to France. He had previously been under contract with the Bundesliga club Mainz 05 for a long time.
