After an accident involving two vehicles, the A7 near Quickborn (Pinneberg district) was completely closed for several hours on Friday morning. At around 1 p.m., traffic reversed in both directions, initially only in one lane heading south, later in all lanes.
Three injured after a rear-end collision
According to initial findings, a pickup truck collided with a car driving in front of it due to excessive speed. Both the driver of the van and the driver of the car suffered serious injuries, according to police. The woman’s passenger was slightly injured.
Liquid oxygen on the road
In the course of rescue work, firefighters said they had to get rid of liquid oxygen, some of which had spilled onto the road. According to the operations manager, the van had carried several oxygen tanks.
