Trump cannot achieve any success in court. But it leaves the country alone in the pandemic and destroys the faith in democracy among its voters. The strategy increasingly bears the signature of a student: Steve Bannon.

And as his team of attorneys incurs one loss after another in court, he uses the last eight weeks in office to leave behind as much scorched earth as possible. At the same time, the president is phasing out aid programs that are particularly reliant on those who have been severely affected by the crown pandemic. This happens at a time when there is nothing to suggest that the drama of the situation could be alleviated. But aid like the program for freelancers or contract workers, who are losing their income due to the pandemic, will expire in the coming weeks. The US news station CNN estimates that the number of people who would end up without income or support at the end of the year is 7.3 million. No one in the Trump administration seems to care that they expand. With the student loan deferral program, financial aid to the sick and caregivers: same problem. Everything ends in 2020, nobody cares.
But it seems at least as urgent as cushioning the existential emergencies caused by the pandemic to coordinate the course of the next vaccinations. But in recent months, President Trump apparently couldn’t find time to attend meetings of the National Task Force to Fight the Crown. President-elect Joe Biden is pushing to begin planning how a vaccine will be distributed in the future. “More people could die if we don’t coordinate,” Biden said, but his hands will be tied as long as the Trump administration maintains its blocking stance and refuses to cooperate with the successor team.
Steve Bannon is back in the mix
The blockade at the level of political decisions is paired with the now undisguised attempt to sabotage the implementation of the will of the voters: the election of Trump by the electorate in December. The more time has passed since Election Day, the more stark the accusations and strategies of the president and those around him seem to be.
Party colleagues attribute this to the fact that Trump’s longtime personal attorney and confidant Rudy Giuliani is exchanging increasingly intense exchanges with Steve Bannon, the right-wing populist political adviser who was chief strategist in the White House. during the first six months of Trump’s term.

Some time later, they revoked their confirmation, but that doesn’t seem to be legally possible. What looks like a puppet theater is not trivial at all. Trump is trying to circumvent the election result
