AMD is distributing a new AMD Generic Encapsulated Software Architecture (AGESA) to motherboard manufacturers, on the basis of which new BIOS versions will appear in the coming weeks. AGESA 1.0.0.5 puts an end to the name chaos of versions 1.0.0.4, of which there were four patches: A, AB, ABB and ABBA.
Stability improvements.
MSI is the first motherboard manufacturer to offer BIOS updates with AGESA 1.0.0.5 for its X570, X470, and B450 motherboards. According to the notes, the new versions also fix audio issues when using a Radeon RX 570 with HDMI. ASRock, Asus, Biostar and Gigabyte should follow soon.
