WWE Monday Night RAW # 1405
Location: WWE Performance Center Orlando, Florida, USA USA
First broadcast: April 27, 2020
Spectators: 0

For today’s show, Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins have signed a contract for the WWE Championship at Money in the Bank. We also see a triple threat between Nia Jax, Asuka and Shayna Baszler. Tom Phillips welcomes an old friend back to the comment desk. Samoa Joe replaces Jerry “The King” Lawler today. Then it is changed to the ring, where M.V.P. the V.I.P. Hall will present.

V.I.P. by M.V.P. The room will host three men today, all of whom will participate in the Money in the Bank boss fight. We are reminded that this match will take place at WWE headquarters. Rey Mysterio is introduced as the first guest. Then Aleister Black arrives in the ring. Finally, Apollo Crews are asked to come to the ring. M.V.P. It starts with Rey and asks him about his motivation for the match manager. Before Mysterio can answer, the host interrupts him and the host answers the question for himself. Rey does this for his “legacy” to add another milestone to his career. M.V.P. rotates relatively fast. The crews too. This has its place against M.V.P. He fought and the latter asks Apolo if he is ready for that match. The crew wants to answer this question with confidence, but Zelina Vega interrupts her. Vega says that nobody cares what Apollo Crews says. Rather, people want to see the champion of the United States, Andrade. They love the pretty Angel Garza and the up-and-coming Austin Theory! After all, these names are the future of WWE. None of the men in the ring can give their followers water. Vega brings his group to the ring and now the six men face off. Zelina takes the floor again and asks Mysterio, Black and Crews to give up their places in Money in the Bank Match. Andrade, Garza and Theory would be more than willing to take over these places. Rey takes the microphone from M.V.P. and stresses that your request will not be honored. However, the men in Las Vegas seem ready for a fight and can get it. Then a fight breaks out and the faces can prevail relatively quickly. The start begins at the first interruption.

Apparently, a 6-man team match was scheduled during the break. Now we can see this.

1st match
Empty arena 6 man tag team match
Aleister Black, Rey Mysterio, and Apollo Crews won against United States Champion Andrade, Austin Theory, and Angel Garza (with Zelina Vega) through a pin to Andrade by the teams after a power bomb.
Game time: 24:24

The battered heels slowly recede and Tom Phillips presents us with a video to celebrate Triple H’s 25th anniversary. Throughout the night we can see his ten best moments. The legendary group D-Generation-X begins on the list and started in 1997. Ninth, they showed us their match against Sting at Wrestlemania 31 in 2015. At that time “The Game” was able to survive after dozens of interventions. Enforce NWO and DX.

Behind the scenes we see an angry Andrade. Zelina tries to calm him down when Charly Caruso comes in to get her opinion. This doesn’t take your breath away and is a challenge against Apollo crews. Andrade even wants to jeopardize his title. The crew arrives and is very interested in such a meeting. Andrade says Apollo has no chance of taking the title away from him. Then the teams slapped him and Zelina Vega stepped in. He’s officially doing the title fight … for tonight.

We see a video that highlights the dispute between Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins. Today the WWE Championship Match is supposed to become official.

He ranked 8th on the Triple H list in his first Smackdown Main Event against The Rock in 1999, when he defended his WWE Championship with the help of his friend DX Shawn Michaels, who acted as special guest referee. The next moment presents itself immediately. In 2000 Triple H was caught by Stephanie McMahon doing yoga with Trish Stratus in an “inappropriate” exercise. We can see the remaining six moments over the course of the night.

Asuka has a microphone and shouts a few words in the typical Japanese Asuka way in the direction of Nia Jax. She enters the matches against Kairi Sane and now she wants to go to the women’s money in the bank match. But Jax has listened enough and interrupts the Japanese. Baszler now comes out and grabs Asuka’s leg and pulls her out. The party does not start and the women now hit each other. After Shayna initially dominated, Nia Jax took the lead and got a straight. In the ring, he handles both Baszler and Asuka and finally looks at his work with satisfaction. After a few repetitions, there is another advertising break.

Bobby Lashley is in the gorilla position with Lana and wants his wife to stay behind the scenes today. Lana, somewhat confused, does not understand the whole thing. Lashley says she is too pretty and that distracts him from his games. Therefore, she should wait for him today until his work is done. Lana, now much happier, sees this and leaves the spotlight on her husband.

2nd match
Empty Arena Singles Party
Bobby Lashley won against Denzel Dejournette through a pin after a spear.
Game time: 01:42

Commentators talk about Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott. Morgan was able to prevail against Riott last week and after the announcement there is a counterattack.

WWE 2K “Battlegrounds” announced. The game is slated to release later this year.

3rd match
Empty Arena Singles Party
Liv Morgan won against Ruby Riott via pin after “Forgetfulness”.
Game time: 02:54

Byron Saxton asks Morgan if this victory heralds a new chapter for them. Liv is not sure about this. She still doesn’t know exactly who she is and where to go. But one thing is for sure. Liv Morgan has great self-confidence.

Sixth place in Triple H’s “Big Moments” shows his victory in the 1997 King of the Ring final against Humanity.

Commentators talk about the Matchcard of the next Money-in-Bank Pay-Per-View.

Nia Jax is interviewed by Charly Caruso. But she in turn asks Caruso if any woman on the list can do anything against Nia Jax. Jax kindly answers this question with a frantic “NO”!

The Viking Raiders challenge street profits to a RAW Tag Team Championship game and want to fight for the top of the Tag Team division again.

After the break, former WWE champion Jinder Mahal returns to the ring!

RAW vs. Smackdown vs. NXT is # 5 on Triple H’s “Big Moments” on NXT. In this video, “The Game,” the father of NXT, declared war on the two biggest brands, RAW and Smackdown. In the 2019 edition of the Survivor Series, the gold and black show was able to claim overall victory.

4. party
Empty Arena Singles Party
Jinder Mahal won against Akira Tozawa via pin after Khallas.
Game time: 01:37

Charly Caruso wants to hear some words from Andrade again. However, Zelina Vega stops her and prohibits Caruso from interviewing Andrade again. After this announcement, the two disappear and leave Caruso behind. Fortunately, another man is very interested in an interview with her. Angel Garza presents the flattered Caruso with a rose and would like to know him a little better in the future.

Fourth, we are shown a segment from 2006 on Monday Night RAW. In this parody of Triple H and Shawn Michaels, Mr. McMahon and Shane McMahon, respectively.

5th match
United States Championship
Empty Arena Singles Match
Andrade (c) (with Zelina Vega) won against Apollo Crews through referee arrest after crews were unable to continue after a knee injury.
Game time: 16:36

We are already in the top 3 and the podium opens with the start of Evolution in 2003. Former members Ric Flair, Batista and Randy Orton dominated alongside Triple H RAW for a time.

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins respond to the Viking Raiders challenge. The two agree with Erik and Ivar. The reigning champions have never been able to defeat these two men in one match and this fact must be corrected quickly. Ford and Dawkins are set to defend their titles on Monday Night RAW next week.

We see a review of the Wrestlemania 35 main event and Becky Lynch’s title win after she successfully covered Ronda Rousey.

6th match
Empty sand tag match
Ricochet and Cedric Alexander won against Ever-Rise (Chase Parker and Matt Martel) through a pin to Parker for Alexander after a Dropkick-DDT combination.
Game time: 04:08

M.V.P. He can be seen on the Titantron and congratulates them both on their victory. Apparently, the host of the V.I.P. Lounge passed to managers, because now you can see Brandon Vick and Shane Thorne. According to M.V.P.’s own statement, next week we will get an absolute “dream match”. Cedric Alexander and Ricochet meet Thorne and Vick next week.

Second place in Triple H’s “Big Moments” shows us D-Generation-X’s invasion of WCW with a 1998 tank.

Apollo Crews can be seen on crutches and Charly Caruso would like an update. The teams, close to tears, cannot utter a word and disappear.

After the interruption, the time has finally come. The signing of the contract, moderated by Jerry Lawler, will take place.

We are presented with number 1. It is the return of Triple H after a serious knee injury at Madison Square Garden in 2002.

Jerry “The King” Lawler is in the ring. The contract in one hand and a microphone in the other. Explain the two main Money in the Bank Matches and explain how important a suitcase can be to a superstar’s career. Lawler then announces the challenger. Seth Rollins, in a good suit, enters the ring and sits down. Next up is WWE champion Drew McIntyre, in a cool leather jacket. McIntyre doesn’t spend time sending Lawler away because everyone knows how signed contracts end. He accepts and leaves the arena. The Scotsman signs the contract immediately and is now waiting for the “Messiah”. Rollins would like McIntyre to understand that he didn’t want all of this. It’s not about Rollins or McIntyre. It’s more about the future of WWE. People only need a worthy leader. Someone who is your light in the dark. Seth suffered as a WWE champion and does not want McIntyre to suffer this fate. The “Messiah” is ready to carry this burden on his shoulders and at some point in the future the time will come for Drew to be a great champion. But this time it has not yet arrived. McIntyre is not impressed and says Rollins is “full of shit”. The WWE Champion wonders where these people who need him as their light are. Rollins should shut up forever and if he doesn’t, Drew will be happy to help him. Rollins signs the contract and concludes that we simply have to believe in it. The Scotsman has heard enough and is attacking the “Messiah”. Before Claymore’s mandatory kick arrives, Murphy Rollins comes to the rescue and has to pocket the champion’s finisher. With a stellar defeat by the two opponents, today’s show is off the air.
