Analysis
Who will succeed Dieter Bohlen in “DSDS”? Three stars now have a particularly good chance, and one would be the perfect heir.
Starting next season, “DSDS” will no longer be what it used to be, because the casting show must or must do without Dieter Bohlen. RTL will not extend the contract with the pop titan, even with “Das Supertalent” out. Both shows are coming out with a whole new jury next season, and of course the question already arises: Who will replace Dieter Bohlen?
Several celebrities have already come into play as successors to “DSDS”: Olivia Jones and Menderes have expressed interest. But who ultimately has what it takes to follow in the great footsteps of the pop titans? By selecting three candidates, RTL could take a closer look.
Olivia jones
Drag queen Olivia Jones appears to be dying to take over from Bohlen. She told Watson: “I am tough too, but more cordial. I want the screeching birds to trust each other again, I would like to laugh more with the candidates instead of just with them.”

In fact, RTL would like to make its program more familiar, Bohlen’s treatment with the participants was recently a thorn in the side of those responsible for the station, according to information from “Bild”.
As a theater director, Olivia Jones knows auditions well, and a parody artist behind the desk would make “DSDS” that much more diverse in one go. These are all good reasons to make them a favorite.
However, with “Das Supertalent” with the expanded show focus there, it is possibly much better. At Watson’s request, she even brought celebrities who could form the jury with her here: “Thomas Hermanns, Bernhard Paul, Sascha Grammel or the Ehrlich Sisters. The main thing is that more performing artists and theater directors.”
As a new “DSDS” chief jury member, on the other hand, RTL would likely prefer a proven industry music expert other than Olivia Jones.
Even if it is not openly stated on the show, “DSDS” is of course particularly concerned with evaluating a candidate’s “marketability” in the mainstream. Olivia Jones, on the other hand, appreciates and loves everything that is beyond the norm. True birds of paradise rarely make it to the show’s finale.
By the way, there is already a petition on “change.org” to promote it to the “Supertalent” jury. The RTL drag queen app could be quite successful in the end.
Pietro Lombardi
Pietro Lombardi is probably known to all “DSDS” fans: having won the eighth season as a musical debutante, he later sat on the jury next to his now good friend Dieter Bohlen. In season 16 and 17 he judged the candidates himself.
The 28-year-old certainly knows the format inside and out. Despite your relatively young age, you should definitely know what is important – after all, you have many opportunities to learn things from your mentor. However, you do not have to prove anything to the regular “DSDS” audience. After winning the show, he went his own way, his latest album “Lombardi” hit second on the charts in 2020.
Lombardi knows very well what the candidates are going through and could therefore accompany them with helpful advice on their way. Especially in this program, your great experience would be your great asset. Plus there’s the singer’s sympathetic charisma, which has remained on the ground despite his success. His fans appreciate him for his honesty and humor.

However, there is a question mark behind Lombardi, because it seems doubtful that he could also exist as a main jury. This requires charisma and a certain authority. With him, there is a risk that his co-jurors will simply overshadow him, which in turn is not allowed.
Maybe in the end I am not branded enough to get this job at RTL. The broadcaster may want to focus more on kindness, but Bohlen’s successor has yet to show a good bit of extroversion.
Lombardi recently also posted a photo of himself and Dieter Bohlen on Instagram. He wrote: “No one can replace you.” Consequently, you should decline an offer from the broadcaster anyway.
Florian Silbereisen
Whenever Florian Silbereisen is ridiculed, he usually quickly puts his critics in his place. Good proof: his first job with “DSDS”. He replaced Xavier Naidoo after he was expelled from the jury for racist comments and impressed by his professionalism and humor.
Silbereisen not only knows his way in the music industry, but basically also represents the ideal genre: in the past, with “DSDS” it was especially Schlager-like candidates such as Beatrice Egli, Ramon Roselly and Norman Langen who were looking the most for his. participation Celebrating successes and not disappearing into oblivion. Therefore, your experience could be worth gold.
The 39-year-old is also highly entertaining and likes to chat outside the box. Especially when you share stories about your ex-girlfriend Helene Fischer, the ratings are likely to skyrocket.

She is an established star who can greatly appeal to the young target audience; your reference to hits, including associated cliches, should not obscure this in any way.
However, there is a risk of coordination problems, RTL wants to compromise Silbereisen. After all, you are busy and may not want to commit to a new format in the long term. Other TV appearances or tours would always have to be coordinated with “DSDS”, which means even more stress.
When in doubt, this hurdle is certainly not insurmountable, which is why Silbereisen really seems like the right fit. The announcer would do well to knock on your door.
