Trump threatened an FBI investigation after calling
After his unsuccessful call to Georgia’s top election official, US President Trump is threatening an investigation by the FBI. Two Democratic congressmen see it as a violation of electoral law. Meanwhile, there is speculation whether Trump wants to skip the date of Biden’s inauguration.
After Donald Trump urged a change in the results of the Georgia state elections, Democrats want to launch FBI investigations into the outgoing US president. Trump’s call to responsible Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger contained calls for violations of electoral laws, Congressmen Ted Lieu and Kathleen Rice argued in a letter to the FBI Chief of the US Federal Police, Christopher Wray. A recording of the hour-long conversation was released on Sunday. Trump said, among other things, that he wanted 11,780 votes found for the state to go to him. “I can’t have lost Georgia.” Democrats Lieu and Rice note that “evidence of Trump’s electoral fraud has come to light.” A Democrat on the Georgia Elections Commission, David Worley, also called for an investigation into Trump.
Democrat Joe Biden won in Georgia in the November 3 election with just under 12,000 votes. As in other states, Trump’s side spoke of electoral fraud, but was unable to present any evidence of it. The results were counted twice in Georgia, the end result changed only slightly. Raffensperger reaffirmed during the phone call that no evidence of widespread voter fraud had been discovered.

The Scottish Sunday Post wrote that Prestwick Airport is experiencing a great deal of unusual American military activity. Appropriately, the airport is in close proximity to a Trump golf course. According to the report, the airport awaits the arrival of a US military Boeing 757 on January 19, the day before Biden’s inauguration, which Trump had previously flown.
In recent weeks, several U.S. Army jets were also seen monitoring Trump’s Turnberry Golf Resort. “It’s usually a sign that Trump will be somewhere for an extended period of time,” an airport source told the newspaper.
Before the change of office, the certification of the results of the individual states in the United States Congress must be delivered on Wednesday. Some Republicans in the House and Senate have announced that they will appeal the results of individual states during the proceedings. Disruptive action may delay confirmation of Biden’s election victory by a few hours, but it has no prospect of changing anything in the election outcome.
