In a nursing home for the elderly in Lübz (Ludwigslust-Parchim district), 88 residents and employees were infected with the corona virus. The extent of the outbreak became clear when, after some positive results, extensive testing was carried out over Christmas.
Five infections were found at the facility over Christmas: two residents and three employees were infected. Extensive tests were then carried out. The result: another 57 residents and 26 employees have contracted the corona virus. A resident died in connection with Covid19.
Ludwigslust-Parchim district: infected doctor and clinic staff
A total of 130 new infections were reported Tuesday in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district. Among them are a resident of another care facility, namely the Gutshof-Stiftung Krenzlin nursing home, a doctor from the Boizenburg clinic and three employees of the Ludwigslust clinic. The incidence value of the district rises to 107 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days.
