Three people were slightly injured in an explosion in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. According to the police, a vehicle exploded at 6:30 am (local time). It was reportedly said to have been a trailer.

Local police wrote on Twitter that they assumed a deliberate act without giving details. Photographs of the city showed clouds of smoke and broken windows. Apparently, several buildings were damaged by the shock wave.

The vehicle had been reported as a suspect, according to the report.

Consistent reports from the “Tennessean” and according to local television station WKRN News 2 Police are said to have been at the scene before the explosion because the parked vehicle was reported to be suspicious. Then an officer called a bomb disposal team, but they did not arrive in time.

The injured were taken to a hospital. The mayor and emergency services said they wanted to publish more details about the incident that morning.

Editor’s Note: In an earlier version, Nashville was referred to as a city in the American Midwest. In fact, Tennessee is one of the southern states. We fixed the bug.
