The A1 remains closed between Oyten and Bremer Kreuz in the direction of Osnabrück until the afternoon. The reason is a truck accident.

According to police, a 59-year-old truck driver was on the A1 heading to Hamburg when a tire apparently exploded. The truck pulled out of the lane, crossed the guardrail and stayed in the opposite direction on the other side of the lane. The driver was not injured in the accident. However, the truck suffered damages of more than 30,000 euros and the loaded lime spread on the road.

Truck blocks the road

According to the police, the truck is still on the road. It must first be fully downloaded before it can be recovered. According to the police, the clean-up work will probably continue until the afternoon; therefore the A1 will remain completely closed between the Oyten and Bremer Kreuz junctions (Verden district) in the direction of Osnabrück. Only one lane is released in the direction of Hamburg. Those familiar with the area should drive around the area, police said.
