Although the electorate confirmed Biden’s victory, President Trump does not admit defeat. On the contrary: with a new lawsuit before the Supreme Court, he tries to challenge the electoral result.

Despite several legal failures, current US President Donald Trump is once again trying to challenge his defeat in the November presidential election to the US Supreme Court. Trump’s campaign team said it had filed a motion with the Supreme Court to challenge the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s rulings on the election.

Trump’s camp claims the court violated constitutional rights by changing the rules of voting by mail. As a result, invalid votes were tallied in the state.

More than 50 lawsuits

Trump lost the presidential election to Democrat Joe Biden in early November. Canceling the Pennsylvania vote would not change the outcome of the election.

So far, Trump has refused to admit defeat in the election. He stubbornly claims that he was defrauded by a massive fraud. Neither Trump nor his lawyers or supporters have presented any substantial evidence to back up their allegations of voter fraud. So far, more than 50 lawsuits from the Trump camp have been rejected, two of them before the Supreme Court.
