SedanIn Berlin, two out of three corona warning lights are currently red, according to the new status report from the Senate Health Administration on Saturday. The traffic light for intensive care bed capacity utilization (currently 25.9 percent) is shown in red. The traffic light of the so-called seven-day incidence is also red: on Saturday the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants per week was 185.1. Currently, only the traffic light for the four-day R-value is green.
The status report released on Saturday also looks at the infection rate over the past 24 hours. Consequently, 1,320 new corona virus infections were recorded in Berlin. As a result, the total number of affected people has risen to 71,088 since the start of the pandemic. At the same time, however, the number of people recovered increased from 659 to 49,406.
There was also an increase in the number of patients who died from corona: due to 22 more deaths in 24 hours, the total number of corona deaths in Berlin increased to 679.
Currently 1,184 people are being treated by Corona in Berlin hospitals, 323 of them in intensive care units.
