Wearing green camouflage clothing, a machine gun, a holster on his shoulder and a pistol on his belt, a man was walking through a park in Saarbrücken. The frightened passersby then alerted law enforcement officers. The Saarbrücken-Stadt police station reported on their large-scale operation with a curious ending.

According to his report, numerous patrol cars were immediately ordered to the scene. After a brief search, officers found the man in the landscaped park. When they arrived, the self-proclaimed “artist” claimed he was in the middle of a photo shoot. In fact, he was posing in the field with his weapons, and his partner photographed him in various poses.

According to police, the guns were apparently real airsoft guns and the ammunition was toys. The 26-year-old can now expect multiple reports of administrative violations and a bill for mission costs. Police warn against handling so-called fake weapons in public. Anyone using such objects is putting his life in danger.
