Augsburg: After a fatal argument at the bus stop: Suspicious couple arrested

In the Augsburg district of Pfersee, a 28-year-old was killed in the street on Friday night. Before that, there was an argument at a bus stop. The victim apparently suffered stab wounds.

Augsburg arrested. A 19-year-old woman and her 27-year-old companion are emergency suspects, police said Saturday morning. The police are silent on the exact course of the dispute and the course of the act. A police spokesman said this was still being investigated. According to our newspaper, the victim was stabbed. It is not clear if it was a knife or something similar. On the Friday night after the crime, police searched the green areas of an adjacent residential building with flashlights, allegedly for a murder weapon. Probably not found yet.

The ambulance could no longer save the man

The dispute took place on Friday evening around 6.30pm on Chemnitzer Strasse at the Uhlandstrasse stop. The 28-year-old was probably standing there when the couple passed. According to the investigation, an argument developed that ended fatally. When the police arrived at the scene, the man was lying on the street in front of the stop with serious injuries. An ER doctor tried to save the 28-year-old’s life, according to police spokesman Michael Jakob. The couple fled on foot.

Fighting for a grip on the bottom?

A witness, a young man who was questioned by the police at the scene, reported that there was apparently an argument because the 28-year-old had previously touched the woman or man on the rear. Apparently there were several people at the stop at the time, some of whom also knew each other.

The area around the crime scene was cordoned off during the investigation. On Friday night, heavily armed police officers searched an apartment in a residential complex near the bus stop. Forensics from the criminal police also examined the apartment. But there was probably no arrest.

A decision will be made on Sunday on remand.

Nothing is known about the detained couple. In a search notice posted Friday night, police said the two were fluent in German and wore dark clothing. The suspects are under police arrest. An investigating judge will decide on Sunday whether the two will be detained when the prosecutor requests an arrest warrant. He is currently under investigation for murder.
