Coronavirus: Hildburghausen is Germany’s worst access point – domestic politics

[ad_1]

Nowhere are there more registered cases of corona than here.

In the district of Hildburghausen (Thuringia), 603 infections were measured per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days. Germany record! Crown explosion trigger: weddings and birthday parties.

The district has been closed since Wednesday: schools and kindergartens are closed, there is a ban on visiting clinics, and the apartment can only be left with a “valid reason”.

But Hildburghausen is not alone: nationally, 62 urban and rural districts have an incidence of more than 200 and are therefore considered hotspots. On Wednesday, the federal and state governments decided that measures in these crown herds should be more stringent.

What does that mean exactly? Different from one country to another!

Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder (53, CSU) announced on Thursday that music and driving schools would close if there was an incidence of 200 or more, weekly markets would be banned and alcohol sales would be banned in city centers . From a value of 300, visits to nursing homes should be restricted and exit restrictions imposed.

Hessian Prime Minister Volker Bouffier (68, CDU) interprets the decision completely differently: in response to a request from the BILD, a government spokesperson said that even for districts with an incidence of more than 200 there will be no “ automatism for measurements ”.

That means: not even two days after the summit, the federal states do what they want again …

Hildburghausen District Administrator under Police Protection

The district administrator of the Hildburghausen district of crown hotspots nationwide, Thomas Müller, has been under police protection since Thursday. He had previously been insulted and threatened on social media and filed a complaint, a police spokesman in Erfurt told the German press agency on Thursday evening. “Free Word” and MDR had previously reported on the threat.

Initially, there was no information on the content of the threat or on the alleged perpetrators and motives. But it is “allegedly related to the Crown Protection Ordinance,” the spokesman said. Suhl’s criminal investigation department is working on the case.

On Thursday, Müller criticized the protests against the strict lockdown in Hildburghausen as irresponsible. Hundreds of people who moved through the southern Thuringian city on Wednesday night put not only themselves but also others in danger, the CDU politician said Thursday.

… and Lüchow-Dannenberg is now NONspot

Lock, empty, Lüchow: Lüchow-Dannenberg (Lower Saxony) is one of the few districts in the state with an incidence well below 50. But although there were only 39 infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days, the closure measures continue to apply!

Restaurants and pubs are closed, cultural establishments are closed. In the huge empty market, the signs indicate that a mask is required. Strangers are viewed with suspicion: Since there are no exit bans, citizens from hotspots could also come to Lüchow for shopping or Christmas parties, as long as they abide by Corona’s rules.

Other areas that are NOT hot spots in Germany are North Frisia (24), West Pomerania-Rügen (16), Meißen (30) and Cuxhaven (40).

But although the map of Germany continues to glow in Corona red, the first regions are already planning to withdraw from the strict lockdown regime!

Schleswig-Holstein, which has a national incidence of 47, wants to reopen so-called “body-friendly service companies” as of Monday. That means: nail salons and massage parlors can reopen.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Daniel Günther (47, CDU) does not want to implement the stricter square meter rules for retailers. Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (incidence 47) also announced that it would quickly relax the first measures.
