Hildburghausen (Thuringia) – The Corona map published daily by the Robert Koch Institute shows red for almost all of Germany.

Because the 7-day incidence keeps increasing. With a value of 602.9 (as of November 26 at 12:00 am), the district of Hildburghausen is the most severely affected corona hotspot in Germany. The value exceeds that of the other circles until the moment the RKI introduces a new color: pink!

North Thuringia region breaks all standards

In the Hildburghausen district, 981 of the approximately 64,000 people who live there are currently (verifiably) infected. A regional shutdown has been in effect in the district since Wednesday. The approximately 63,000 inhabitants of the region can no longer leave their homes until December 13 without good reason, schools and kindergartens have been closed.

However, hundreds of people spontaneously protested against infection protection rules there on Wednesday night. The so-called “lateral thinkers” or concerned citizens had gathered at the market around 7pm. Many protesters were there without mouth and nose protection. Minimum distances were not observed.

According to Mayor Tilo Kummer (left), the participants spoke of a “walk”. “I’m stunned,” Kummer wrote on Facebook that night. “The Hildburghausen market is full of people! Many do not wear masks! What has to happen before some people understand the seriousness of the situation? “

Several people in the circle were fighting for their lives. Kindergartens, schools, ambulance stations and entire fire brigades had to be quarantined in the last two weeks. “Can’t you keep a two week distance?”

The police finally intervened against the 400 callous protesters. Officials saw no other way to enforce the current Thuringian Infection Protection Ordinance and the general decree of the Hildburghausen district.

They dissolved the crown demonstration with pepper spray. The mission was successful. No one was injured during the operation. For some, however, it will have consequences. The police drew up 30 reports for violating the crown protection ordinances.
