Borussia Dortmund moved up to second place in the Bundesliga with a win and are now just one point behind Bayern Munich. In Berlin, coach Lucien Favre’s team won 5: 2 (0: 1). Matheus Cunha scored the goals for the hosts (minutes 33 and 79 of play), before Erling Haaland scored four times (47, 49, 62, 80). Raphael Guerreiro scored the other goal for Dortmund (70th). Following the defeat, Hertha are currently 13th in the game. In the 85th minute, Youssoufa Moukoko became the youngest Bundesliga player in history when he was replaced by BVB at 16 years and one day.

For a long time, the Dortmund team could not beat the low-rise Berliners. Dortmund had control in midfield from the start, opportunities were initially slim. After the break, it took BVB four minutes to turn the game around.

The guests had the first good opportunity. Manuel Akanji could barely avoid Mateus Cunha’s shot (22). Eleven minutes later, the Brazilian was unstoppable. After Dodi Lukébakio’s preliminary work, Matheus Cunha led the hosts to the lead from 20 meters.

Only in injury time of the first round did BVB have a good chance to score. Erling Haaland, however, crossed too often from a promising position (45º + 1º).

After the break, it was Haaland who turned the game around with a double blow. First he just had to push after a remarkable combination through Guerreiro, Thomas Meunier and Marco Reus (47th), then after a great pass from Julian Brandt (49th) he took the lead.

Hertha did not open up, now searching more and more for the way to go. Peter Pekarik almost equalized shortly after falling behind (52nd). After Haaland’s third goal, which was preceded by a poor pass from Marvin Plattenhardt (62nd), the hosts tried to limit the damage, but initially had to accept a fourth goal from Guerreiro (70th). Due to a controversial penalty, Matheus Cunha cut again (79th), but only a minute later Haaland scored for the fourth time.
