In Seydlitzstrasse (Moabit), a taxi driver was attacked with a knife by an unknown person on Saturday night at 7.30 pm.
The taxi driver was about to start his night shift, now he is in a coma at the Virchow Clinic in the intensive care unit! Mesut K. (42) is not yet available. The police still have no trace of the perpetrator.
BZ reporters encountered the woman at the crime scene, where a trail of blood on the asphalt tells of that night’s drama. “I am in shock. We only know that Mesut has been attacked and is not yet accessible. He is in an artificial coma. Now I will drive to him at the hospital.”
The fact is: Mesut K., a father of two, was about to get into his taxi on Seydlitzstrasse and start the night shift. Apparently a man passed by. What happened next and why the two men came into contact is still unknown. But witnesses suddenly want to have heard loud screams and screams, as in an argument. They then saw the stranger stab Mesut K. with a knife. He collapses in front of the taxi. According to the police and the prosecution, there is currently no danger of death.
The witnesses intervene and drive away the aggressor. A man riding an electric scooter also helps the taxi driver. The aggressor escapes to a green area. Passersby run after them. But stop the chase, too dangerous! The man fled into the dark.
Mesut K’s wife says: “It was very brave, but the men who helped my husband did not want to risk their lives. The attacker had a knife. “
The third homicide squad has taken over the investigation, which is still ongoing.
