2020 US election: Joe Biden is clearly ahead in Arizona and Nevada

For Democrat Joe Biden, the chances of winning in the US states of Arizona and Nevada are increasing. This would allow him to move into the White House because he could claim a majority of 270 voters for himself. Arizona has eleven voters and Nevada six in the body that ultimately elects the president of the United States.

In Arizona, according to CNN television station, Biden led incumbent Donald Trump with 43,000 votes early in the evening, an increase of 1.4 percentage points. 93 percent of all votes are counted. In Nevada, Biden’s lead was a good 22,000 votes, an increase of 1.7 percentage points. In the desert state, 91 percent of the votes were counted.

Trump’s campaign team cautioned against declaring Biden the winner now. “This election is not over,” said attorney Matt Morgan. “The wrong prediction of Joe Biden’s victory is based on results from four states that are far from final.” In fact, no major US broadcaster has declared Biden the winner of the election.

When asked what would happen if Trump lost and still did not leave the White House, Biden’s spokesman, Andrew Bates, said that the US government was “absolutely capable of escorting unauthorized persons out of the White House.” The American people will make that decision.

Trump had already claimed victory on election night and denounced the alleged electoral fraud of his opponents without any evidence. Critics fear he may cling to the White House with all his might.
