The A1 northbound is currently closed between Stapelfeld and Ahrensburg (Stormarn district). The reason: the driver of a truck loaded with tree trunks on Autobahn 1 near Stapelfeld (Stormarn district) had missed the end of a traffic jam. Based on previous investigations, the trucker attempted to turn left, police said. However, a flatbed truck was rammed so hard into the right lane that it was thrown to the left against the center rail. Additionally, the truck scraped two other trucks, rolled over as a result, and stopped in two of the three lanes.
According to the police, there were four injuries: the driver of the flatbed truck was in mortal danger in the accident, his passenger was slightly injured. In addition, according to the information, one of the truckers was slightly injured and a lifeguard suffered a scare. Consequently, the driver involved in the accident was unhurt. In the morning, the police had assumed that six were injured.
Recovery vehicles are at the scene of the accident. Before the dump truck rescue can begin, helpers must first reload the wood. However, the police assume a long-term lockdown.
