The evacuation of the previously occupied house at Liebigstrasse 34 continues to take effect in the scene on the left. During a protest in Friedrichshain on Saturday night, there were clashes between protesters and the police.
According to the police, 20 people were temporarily detained. The suspects are being investigated on suspicion of serious violation of public order, assault on police officers, attempted release of prisoners and insults. Seven emergency services were injured during the operation, two of whom had to be treated at the hospital.
On Saturday night, according to police, up to 1,000 protesters gathered at Helsingforster Platz in Friedrichshain to march towards Storkower Straße under the slogan “United we fight.” The police were on the scene with a large contingent of 600 officers and were supported by Federal Police forces.
Already at the beginning of the elevator, occasional bottles were thrown at the police officers. Around 8:30 pm the top of the demonstration reached the previously occupied house at Liebigstrasse 34, when suddenly a banner with the inscription “L34 forever” was lifted from a window of the empty building. At the same time, people launched pyrotechnics and fireworks on the roof of the house.
Apparently, an unspecified number of activists had gained access to the property that had actually been vacated. While protesters and supporters on social media were already talking about a “new date”, the police could not confirm.
Police spokesman Thilo Cablitz told Tagesspiegel that after several inspections of the home by emergency services, no people were found in the building. The owner and his security are responsible for securing Liebigstrasse 34. Police suspect that activists managed to gain access to the object at the scene through adjacent roofs.

As the police officers stood with dogs in front of Liebigstrasse 34, the demonstration train stopped in front of the house. Bottles and stones were thrown at the police officers, and small barricades were burning in the side streets.
At the same time, an independent journalist reported on Twitter that a police officer pushed him onto the demonstration train and felt kicked and beaten until an officer pulled him out. Some of his camera equipment is said to have been damaged.
Paramedics, who regularly accompany protests at the scene on the left on a voluntary basis, also report in a press release that police officers are being pushed and littering at one of their teams.

Shortly after the climb on Rigaer Strasse, the demonstration at Bersarinplatz was interrupted by the organizer himself around 10 p.m. Originally the end point was supposed to be the S-Bahn station Storkower Straße, but the protest was announced until shortly before the midnight.
The self-organized feminist house project “Liebig 34” was evacuated in early October. During a demonstration at the site, violence broke out as a result of the eviction despite a large police presence. Cars were set on fire and windows were smashed.
The bulky trash only caught fire in front of the previously occupied house on Liebigstrasse 34 on October 21. The flames were several feet high and also attacked the home via incendiary devices that had been thrown on the home. However, so far there have been no suspects, a police spokesman told Tagesspiegel.
