The head of Flixbus criticized the planned state aid for Deutsche Bahn. “If you want to support rail transport, there are much smarter and more competitive neutral options than simply transferring money to DB,” said Schwämmlein. Politicians have decided not to support rail transport as a whole, but only the Deutsche Bahn company.

Schwämmlein expressed concern about the prospects for the bus industry. “Many companies face the end. We are very concerned about the industry, ”he said. “There is almost no help for bus companies in Germany, and the rental fees for their vehicles eat them up. Although the state has put so much money in hand, the bus industry has been almost completely forgotten. “That is unfair.
