Vienna – Some 30 young people are said to have mutinied in a church in Vienna, Austria. It is said that they shouted “Allahu Akbar” (“God is great”) and kicked the confessional.

Young people also screamed in the Catholic Church and kicked bench seats, as a police spokesman told the Austrian news agency APA on Friday.

According to the spokesman, no one was injured or threatened in the Thursday night incident in Vienna’s Favoriten district, and nothing was harmed during the kicks. When the pastor called the police, the rioters escaped undetected.

According to the Viennese daily “Kurier”, which reported on the incident, even 50 young people were in a state of emergency. According to the report, investigators from the Constitutional Protection Office are suspicious of a group of young Turks who have organized through social media. The incident was recorded by a surveillance camera, which is now being evaluated.

The Interior Ministry said an additional 50 officers would be used to monitor and control the district, which is considered an access point.
