Meiningen | Schmalkalden-Meiningen district against stricter rules

In view of an incidence value greater than 100, the district of Schmalkalden-Meiningen is taking a different route than other districts. Since two nursing homes in Steinbach-Hallenberg and Zillbach in particular are affected by corona infections, the crisis team initially rejected stricter rules. This was announced by a spokesperson for the district office.

According to the authority, it is sufficient if people adhere to the current requirements, for example, not meet with more than ten people. The Thuringian Ministry of Health finds the district’s approach plausible, but reserves the right to recommend stricter rules to the district on short notice.

Hildburghausen | The incidence value rises to 85.4

In the Hildburghausen district, 17 more people have tested positive for the corona virus since Tuesday. According to the district office, the number of active cases rises to 58. The incidence value of seven days per 100,000 inhabitants was 85.4 on Tuesday at lunchtime.

Thuringia | CDU warns Ramelow against Sonderweg

The Thuringian CDU advises Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow (left) not to take a special approach to fighting the crown. In the run-up to the video switch between the country’s leaders and Chancellor Angela Merkel, the CDU parliamentary group leader Mario Voigt said he hoped Ramelow would fulfill his responsibility and that there would be no other special ways. Maneuvering is inappropriate.

The CDU will not stand in the way of an agreement between prime ministers, Voigt said. As a constructive opposition, they are ready to support resolutions that serve to protect the population.
