Donald Trump Halloween reception at the White House: unicorns and mini-Trump

Unicorns, skeletons and a mini-Donald at the White House: US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump invited hundreds of children to a Halloween reception on Sunday. In recent years, the president and the first lady personally distributed candy to costumed children. This year, however, the kids and the Trumps stuck to Corona’s rules, including the distance requirement.

The treats were placed on a path to the White House. There, the children also met with the president and his wife and were able to speak from a safe distance.

Trump was especially happy for a boy in an iconic Trump wig and his partner, who had dressed up as Melania. The foursome posed for a photo together.

The reception took place under special crown rules. Guests over the age of two had to wear masks and keep their distance. The same was true of all White House personnel who attended the event. All employees distributing candy were required to wear gloves.

The White House was decorated with brightly colored leaves and pumpkins. A military band played songs like “Thriller” by Michael Jackson.
