Serious accident on a federal highway in the north: a car goes out of the lane and hits a bus Several inmates are injured. One of the passengers later lost his life at the scene of the accident. Now investigators are looking for the driver of the car.
A young man was killed in an accident Saturday night on a federal highway in Mözen, Schleswig-Holstein, in the Segeberg district. As the newspaper “Bild” reported, there was a collision between a bus and a car. The 16-year-old girl died at the scene of the accident.
There is no trace of the driver of the crashed vehicle.
As the newspaper also reported, the car went off the right side of the road for an unexplained cause and initially collided with a tree. The vehicle was catapulted through the air and its rear collided with the side window of the bus.
There is no trace of the driver of the car. As the police announced, he could not be found despite a search with a thermal imaging camera and a police helicopter. Five other occupants of the bus were unharmed. Among other things, there were six ambulances and several emergency doctors on the scene.
The newspaper “Bild” reports that the father of the girl who died ran to the scene of the accident after locating his daughter’s cell phone. He decided to take the plunge when the girl was still not home later than agreed. The girl’s family was cared for by specially trained crisis workers.
The federal highway had been completely closed for rescue and recovery measures. The fire department report indicated that the “debris field” had stretched for several hundred meters over the main road.
