Arnold Schwarzenegger spoke after heart surgery. “I feel fantastic,” the Hollywood star and former California governor said on Twitter. He could go for a walk now, the 73-year-old wrote to several photos showing him outdoors. He also posted a photo with tubes in the hospital bed, in which he held up his thumb with a smile.
Schwarzenegger expressed his appreciation to the treatment team at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, US The Austrian native said he received a new aortic valve that matches his new pulmonary valve from his last operation.
The “Terminator” was last operated on on his heart in 2018. In 1997 he had his first heart surgery when an aortic valve was inserted. Doctors wanted to use it to correct a congenital heart defect.
On Instagram, Schwarzenegger received a flood of recovery wishes and good advice. “Please don’t go training today!” Wrote his son Patrick, his daughter Katherine sent heart emojis. Actor Josh Brolin wished him a speedy recovery with muscle emojis, Jim Belushi sent “prayers for a speedy recovery” and ex-ski racer Lindsey Vonn wished, “All the best !!!”
The former “Mister Universum” has already had several motorcycle accidents. In 2006 he broke his thigh while skiing and now has a new hip.

The father of five was governor of California from 2003 to 2011, after which he was back in front of the camera and continues to be politically active, including on environmental protection issues. He is traditionally a Republican, but recently he has repeatedly distanced himself significantly from US President Donald Trump.
In September, he linked a video on Instagram in which he and former first lady Michelle Obama asked for votes. He also wished Democratic Vice Candidate Kamala Harris the best of luck in the election campaign.
