Two seriously injured construction workers

“We hope that the injured will recover as soon as possible,” said an HVB Bank spokeswoman.
It is not yet clear how the tragic accident occurred. “It is verified whether it is a single fault or a technical defect,” says a police spokesman in the afternoon. An accident assessor is involved and an expert from the local construction commission checks whether the building can be re-entered.

Until the pandemic, around 3,800 employees worked at the Hypovereinsbank location in Arabellapark, 1,400 of them in the HVB Tower. However, today many employees work from home. More recently, construction workers were busy replacing the glass and aluminum façade elements in the “Flachbau Nord” building. The roof crane was used for this. This work is almost finished.
The crane must be dismantled on Wednesday. An Allgu company was commissioned to do this. The gondola was already waiting at Arabellastrae to take away the disassembled crane.
