Wesel District The regional health center reported on Tuesday for the first time that the district had passed the critical 50 mark. The crisis management team meets at noon and a blanket decree is due to be issued in the afternoon.
Wesel district reaches risk level 2: because the seven-day incidence on Tuesday officially exceeded the critical value of 50 for the first time, Germany’s 10th largest district is now a risk area. The State Center for Health reported a value of 50.9. This indicates how many out of 100,000 residents have been infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the past seven days.
That is why the district crisis team meets at noon. Then, according to a spokesperson, a general decree will be published. According to the Corona Protection Ordinance, this should officially determine risk level 2 in the pandemic. New, stricter measures will take effect at midnight Wednesday to combat the spread of the virus.
The Crown Protection Ordinance stipulates, among other things, that from an incidence value greater than 50, only five people can meet in public. There is a curfew between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. for catering establishments, during which alcohol cannot be sold at gas stations, supermarkets or kiosks. Events are limited to a maximum of 100 visitors. Only ten people can attend the celebrations of special occasions.
Also, the mask requirement is expanded. When exactly this applies, the municipalities and the district must determine separately. In Dinslaken there is already a mask requirement in the city center and in Hiesfeld on the shopping streets.
Because the Wesel district only transmits data from the health department to the Landeszentrum Gesundheit (LGZ) late, the numbers differ. The circle gives a seven-day incidence of 52.4 on Tuesday. However, according to the Corona Protection Ordinance, the value that the LGZ publishes at midnight is decisive.
