Three employees at a hotel in Timmendorfer Strand tested positive for the corona virus. The hotel was closed. 200 guests have to go.

It’s the Grand Hotel Seeschlösschen. According to the Ostholstein district, all affected employees worked in different areas of the home. Therefore, a distribution among the entire workforce cannot be ruled out.

More than 100 employees must be quarantined

More than 100 hotel employees must be quarantined, according to the district administration, they are considered category 1 contact persons. That means they had intensive contact with those infected. Now everyone is being tested for the coronavirus; results should be available in a few days. Their families must also wait for quarantine.

About 200 guests have to go

The Ostholstein District Health Department has closed the hotel; about 200 guests have to leave. They were classified as Category 2 contacts. This means that they had no direct contact with the infected people. You are allowed to be tested voluntarily and should be on the lookout for symptoms of a possible infection in the coming days. They do not need to be quarantined.
