After an alleged terrorist attack in a Paris suburb, the investigations are in full swing. Apparently there were first arrests during the night.
Following the beheading of a professor near Paris, police detained five more suspects on Saturday night, according to judicial sources. A total of nine people are now in custody. Four people, including a minor, were detained by the police on Friday night. They are said to belong to the family of the alleged assailant.
According to initial findings, the master was beheaded by an attacker in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, northwest of Paris. The prosecutor’s counter-terrorism investigators took over the investigation. The attacker was an 18-year-old young man, various media reported. It is said that he screamed “Allahu akbar” (“God is great”) and was armed with a kitchen knife. Initially there was no official confirmation for this. The mayor of Éragny-sur-Oise, Thibault Humbert, spoke of an “incredibly violent” act, was there and in contact with the investigators.
