A brutal attack took place near Paris: a man was reportedly beheaded on the street. The police cordon off two areas. Terrorist investigators are on the march.
One man was reportedly beheaded on the street near Paris, while others say the victim was attacked in the metro. The incident is said to have occurred in the late afternoon near an educational center in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, northwest of Paris, the French news agency AFP reported. The anti-terrorist investigators of the French prosecutor’s office took over the investigation, including the murder with a terrorist background, as confirmed by the authority.
According to information from the “Daily Mail”, the alleged perpetrator is said to have used an explosive vest and threatened the arriving officers with a pistol, among other things. Explosives experts were summoned. Police wrote on Twitter that there is currently an operation in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine and that people should avoid the area.
The suspected attacker is said to have fled and was shot and seriously injured by police in the nearby town of Éragny-sur-Oise, the agency said. Other media reported that the man was killed by police. Also in Éragny-sur-Oiserief the police via Twitter to avoid the area without providing more information. The exact background to the incident is unclear so far.
