This allows guests from risk areas to return to stay in pensions and hotels. Guests from risk areas in Saxony can also stay in other parts of the country.

Saxon risk areas are currently Zwickau district and Erzgebirgskreis.

Health Minister Petra Köpping (62, SPD) said on Thursday whether or not to go on vacation to the popular Ore Mountains tourist destination, for example. But basically it is possible.

Testing or quarantine is also not necessary, the minister said, regardless of whether you enter or leave the country. It doesn’t matter if you live in the Pray Mountains or not. District Administrator Frank Vogel (63, CDU) made it clear: “With us, people don’t die like flies.”

95 percent of the infections, by the way throughout the district, were easy.

Hygiene concepts in the gastronomy and hotel areas would come into force. “So come on, enjoy the outdoors!” Only risk groups should perhaps avoid a trip, he recommended.

Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer (45, CDU) emphasized that classification as one of the so-called risk areas should not serve to stigmatize.

The underlying cutoff value (50 infected people per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days) only describes the size above which it is difficult to trace contacts.

In addition to the lifting of the accommodation ban, Saxony is preparing new rules which, contrary to what was previously envisaged, should be applied before 3 November.

This includes a gastronomy curfew from 11 pm for 35 newly infected people up to 100,000 in seven days and from 10 pm for 50 new infected people up to 100,000 within seven days, in addition to a ban on the sale of alcohol.
