Schweinfurt city and district toughen crown measures

In the city and district of Schweinfurt, the corona limit of 50 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants was exceeded in seven days. The city and district are now reacting to this with new hygiene rules and regulations.

Contact restrictions in Schweinfurt

As announced by the city of Schweinfurt, as of now only groups of up to five people are allowed in public spaces, including restaurants. So far ten have been allowed. Private meetings are also limited to a maximum of five people. In addition, depending on the city, there are new upper limits for events such as weddings, birthdays or funerals: a maximum of 25 people can participate in closed rooms and 50 people outdoors. According to the city, the organizers are also required to come up with a hygiene concept and present it upon request.

In homes and hospitals, the city limits visits to one person per day per resident. Also, between 11 pm and 6 am, food and beverages should no longer be served for consumption on site. On the Keßlergasse in the city center of Schweinfurt, according to the general decree, a cover for the mouth and nose must be worn on weekdays from 10 am to 6 pm

No change for schools in Schweinfurt

In schools and kindergartens, the city wants to keep current measures for now. Stage 2 of the Bavarian state government’s three-stage plan is currently being implemented there. That means: 5th grade students should also wear a nose and mouth cover on the classroom seat if the minimum distance of 1.5 meters there is not guaranteed.

The kindergartens remain open. If institutions implement open or partially open concepts, they should continue to form fixed groups. Employees must cover their mouth and nose.

The Schweinfurt district also issues contact restrictions.

Similar measures are also applied in the district of Schweinfurt with immediate effect. As the district office announced, as of Wednesday only five people will be able to travel together privately, unless they are direct relatives or family members. The same applies to meetings in private rooms or properties. According to the district office, the aforementioned contact restrictions also apply in the catering sector. Restaurant operators are obliged to take the new requirements into account.
