Anthony Fauci has become one of America’s foremost experts during the crown crisis. When you have something to say about the situation in the country, the country listens. Apparently, election campaign experts in the field of the US president wanted to benefit from the credibility and impeccable image of the virus specialist.
The path, however, now provokes some indignation in Fauci. “The statements attributed to me in the campaign without my consent have been taken out of context. They come from a general statement about the efforts of the health authorities that I made months ago.”
The background is a commercial for President Donald Trump before the November 3 election. The 30-second clip is about how Trump and his administration deal with the pandemic. In it, Fauci says, “I can’t pretend that no one can do more.” The statement appears to be related to Trump. However, this is not true, as Fauci now makes clear.
“In my nearly five decades serving the people, I have never announced a political candidate,” said America’s leading infectious disease expert.
The Trump campaign, however, defends the use of the quote. The statement was “correct and comes straight from Fauci’s mouth,” spokesman Tim Murtaugh said Sunday, who also gave the president good testimony on how to deal with the pandemic during a Senate appearance.
On Twitter, there is another message only after a warning
Twitter has now provided one of these messages with a false information warning. The tweet violated the rules on “spreading misleading and possibly harmful information” on the Covid-19 issue, it said on Sunday. Therefore, it was only accessible after clicking on a warning and could not be distributed without feedback from the users themselves.
Trump had previously written that White House doctors had given him testimony after his Covid 19 illness that he was “completely” healthy. Regarding the coronavirus, he wrote: “That means I cannot get it (immune) and I cannot transmit it.” Trump wants to make major campaign appearances again starting Monday.
He is running for a second term in the November elections. Trump’s personal physician said Saturday that the president was no longer contagious.
