With two machetes and a hammer, three men in Bremen, in the Sebaldsbrück district, had a nightly argument: one of them was seriously injured and had to undergo emergency surgery.
According to police, two 19-year-olds had been molested early Sunday morning by a 27-year-old boy and his 23-year-old friend because they noisily passed their apartment.
First, those involved argued through an open window. Then the two 19-year-olds armed themselves with machetes and walked out the door. The 27-year-old then pulled out a sharp emergency hammer, which is meant to break windows, and struck the two 19-year-olds.
He injured one of the men so badly that he suffered a skull fracture. He had to be transferred to a hospital for emergency surgery. His partner of the same age suffered a laceration to his head and also had to be treated in a clinic. The 27-year-old was captured a little later and temporarily arrested.
Everyone involved had drunk alcohol.
