After the 15-year-old saw the older man in the background of her selfie, she posted the photo on Facebook. She wanted to know who had secretly watched her in the ladies room. “I wanted to send a friend a selfie and at that very moment an older man looked inside my booth,” he writes about the image. She asks, “Who knows this man?” He also left the photo to the police.
As “Free Press” reported on Saturday, Saxon officials apparently received a tip and were able to determine the tensioner. The officials were already with him, it is said.
Apparently, there is no criminal record at the moment.
When asked if the suspect is now threatened with a penalty, a prosecutor from “Prensa Libre” replied: No! Because looking over the wall of a toilet is not a crime in Germany. According to the penal code, the case was not of sexual harassment, since the man did not touch the girl, nor was there a violation of the very personal sphere of life because the tensioner did not take photographs of the girl. Nor was punishment imposed for causing public nuisance, as the suspect did not commit any sexual act in public.
But the Prosecutor’s Office does not want to stop there and is initiating new investigations. More steps are being examined, it is said.
