Communist North Korea celebrated the ruling Labor Party’s 75th birthday with a large military parade, apparently in the middle of the night. The ruler Kim emphasized in a speech that North Korea was crown-free.

Communist North Korea celebrated the 75th anniversary of the founding of the ruling Labor Party with a nightly military parade. Amid the crown pandemic, thousands of soldiers marched through the capital Pyongyang without protective masks. State broadcaster KCTV showed armed units and armored vehicles marching through the streets.

North Korea will continue to expand its military “for self-defense and deterrence,” ruler Kim Jong Un said in a speech. Observers believe it was a recording of a parade and festivities on Saturday night.

Border with China closed

Neither the soldiers nor the spectators in Kim Il Sung Square wore protective masks. “Not a single person” in North Korea has so far been infected with the corona virus, Kim said in his speech. After the first cases of corona in China, North Korea closed its borders with the neighboring country.

The South Korean military had previously announced that the isolated neighboring country may have held a large military parade before dawn.
