Left-wing extremists want to visit bailiffs at home

SedanDue to the imminent evacuation of the radical left house “Liebig 34” in Friedrichshain, more and more state employees are threatened. On the Internet, people are encouraged to visit bailiffs. In a letter available to the Berliner Zeitung, the clerk responsible for the bailiffs at the Lichtenberg district court informed her colleagues on Wednesday via a map posted on the Internet: “This also contains the addresses of the individual bailiffs,” she writes the official. And also: “Please pay more attention at this time: report any type of assault to the police immediately and let us know.”

There are also police warnings. Following the attacks on a police station on Lichtenberger Sewanstrasse and the arson at the Tempelhof-Kreuzberg district court on Möckernstrasse on Wednesday evening, the police warned in an internal letter: “It is imperative to ensure self-protection.”

The “anarcha-queer-feminist housing project” at Liebigstrasse 34, corner of Rigaer Strasse, will be cleaned on Friday morning. The lease expired at the end of 2018. But residents have since refused to move. The Berlin district court upheld an eviction action from the owner of the house.

In this context, threats from bailiffs, property attorneys and property managers are now part of everyday life in Berlin. Among other things, the caretaker’s private home was attacked with paint bags and his car was attacked with stinky butyric acid. In recent times there have been repeated riots and property damage and car fires, in solidarity with Liebig 34. The facade of an apartment building where a bailiff lives was also doused with threats.

In protest of the pending eviction, left-wing radicals partially paralyzed the S-Bahn on Monday. On the Internet, “feminist-revolutionary-anarchist cells” claimed responsibility for an arson attack on cables along the route between Ostkreuz and Frankfurter Allee.

For Friday, “X Day”, as the scene calls this day, the “activists” have planned “decentralized actions” in the city. At 9:00 pm there will be a “spontaneous demonstration”. “Sponti’s location will be announced on short notice,” it says on one of the relevant websites. Supporters of the house have announced that they will defend the “Liebig 34” “by all means”.
