The Federal Ministry of Finance announced the exact salary of the minister at the request of WELT. Scholz wins, “as he said Sunday in the ‘Berlin Report’, a lot of money,” he says in the reply. Like all federal ministers, he receives a regulatory monthly salary of 15,194.61 euros, which is made up of the official salary and a local allowance. In addition, there is an annual provision for expenses of 3,681.36 euros, which corresponds to 306.78 euros per month. Scholz did not receive any SPD spending subsidies.
The Scholz / Ernst couple earn more than 30,000 euros a month
Together, the childless couple have gross income of more than 30,000 euros a month. According to a study by the Institut der Deutschen Wirtschaft (2019), couples without children in Germany are in the top tenth with a monthly net family income of 5,160 euros or more. Scholz / Ernst are significantly higher.
